Lunch Sign-Up

In order to preserve student safety in the cafeteria WCE is implementing a new system for lunch visitors. Starting on Monday August 25th, we must limit the number of parent visitors allowed at lunch each day to maintain a safe environment all times. 

Katy ISD guidelines list lunchroom visitors at the elementary level to parent/step-parent/guardians, non school-aged siblings and grandparents (accompanied by a parent or with written permission from a parent) or campus mentor. Visits will be limited to the 30 minute lunch period. 

We will share this with the community on this week’s Ranger News.  Here are some highlights you need to know:

• A Sign-Up Genius will be sent out at the beginning of each month.

• The sign-up will be organized by grade level, with 10 spots available per grade per day.
• Only 1 sign up is needed per student. 
• Scheduled WatchDog Dads do not need to sign up to be a lunch visitor on their service day
• If you plan to come for lunch, please ensure you are signed up in advance. The front office will check the daily sign-up list and only individuals on the list will be allowed to visit for lunch.
• We kindly ask parents to be courteous and give all families an opportunity to visit.

We understand this is a change from previous years, and we appreciate everyone's patience and cooperation as we make this adjustment to keep all students safe.
